In Munster, Powers Health says construction is underway on a five-story outpatient center on the Community Hospital campus. The facility will house physician offices and outpatient services, including cardiac rehabilitation, imaging, infusion, neurology, physical therapy, and noninvasive cardiology procedures currently provided at Community Hospital. “This transition allows us to repurpose that space for additional private patient rooms and expanded inpatient care,” said Randy Neiswonger, CEO of Community Hospital. “This is an investment in the health and future of our community.” The over 125,000 square foot center on MacArthur Boulevard is anticipated to open in early 2028. It’s located between the Community Medical Professional Center on MacArthur Boulevard and the parking garage, which was expanded in 2024 in anticipation of the new building. During construction, Braden Way is closed to traffic at Calumet Avenue. For more information about Powers Health, visit PowersHealth.org .
