Local officials are alerting Lake and Porter County motorists to a road closure. The Porter County Highway Department says County Road 100 South is scheduled to be closed between Lake-Porter County Line Road and County Road 725 West for a safety improvement project July 27, 2026, through October 30, 2026. Additional work is planned next spring. 100 South in Porter County becomes East 109th Avenue in Lake County.
