In Portage, the city says it is developing a new comprehensive plan and is inviting residents, businesses, and community stakeholders to help shape the future of the city. The city will host three public meetings to gather feedback and ideas. The first session is scheduled for June 17, 2026, and will summarize the process, collected data, and public participation expectations for the following months. It will be at the Woodland Park Community Center’s Oakwood Room, on Willowcreek Road, 6pm-7:30pm. Additional meeting dates will be announced in the coming weeks. The city says a comprehensive plan serves as a long-term guide for development and land use decisions, outlining the city’s goals, policies, and vision for the future. Officials say community input will play a critical role in shaping the plan. Here is a link for more information – https://klissell.wixsite.com/community-engagement .
