A graduate of River Forest High, she's a born-and-raised Region creature, gathering her journalistic skills from both Purdue (BA) and IU (MA). If you ask her who she roots for when the Boilers and Hoosiers play, she won't tell you. What she WILL tell you is what's going on in Northwest Indiana. From big local headlines to severe weather that's rocking the Region, Laura covers it all for X-Rock. In fact, she's won 18 news awards and counting while covering our area. At the April 26 2009 March for Babies in Highland, a group of Northwest Indiana soldiers ruck-marched for the March of Dimes. Indiana Army National Guard Private Jonathan Snyder of Highland organized a group of fellow soldiers from Alpha Company 2 of the 151 (one-five-one) based in Hammond
