In her college days at St. Joseph's Amanda was known as the “sexy voice.” That voice is what brought her to radio. Growing up she had her heart set on being an astronaut. Then fate stepped in and she found out she needed glasses. Then yet another heartbreak. In high school (Kankakee Valley High School), she got in trouble in art class (for the details just ask) and dashed her dreams of becoming a computer animator. When she was about to enroll in college to become a psychiatrist her mother convinced her she knew too much about music to waste her talents on anything less than radio. Mama knew best. She said she can't imagine being anywhere else. Her favorite song at the moment is The Velvet Underground’s “Hey, Mr. Rain” (Version 1). She really loves her movies and television shows. Her favs include: Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol. 1, Death Proof, Goodfellas, Crash, Grandma’s Boy, and Old School <deep breath> Dexter, Life on Mars, Reno 911!, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, all the crazy reality shows on VH1, The Principal’s Office, and last but not least The Smoking Gun’s World’s Dumbest. She keeps things low key and enjoys spending time with friends and family, hanging out on her porch or in her garage, and reading or listening to music.
