I've been in Da' Region all my life (other than four years down at Purdue --Go Boilers!), living in Hammond, Griffith, Gary, Valpo, Portage (twice) and Hobart (twice) over the years.  That's why I  consider ALL of NWI my home!  I think Chicago has forgotten the wide variety of rock we used to hear back in the 60's and 70's.  Fortunately, WE HAVEN'T!

Born in Northwest Indiana, got a BA from Purdue and MA from IU and roots for both (even when they play each other).  Newscasts have won several awards from Indiana Broadcasters Association, Society of Professional Journalists/Indiana Chapter, and Network Indiana.

I'm a loud and proud, born and bred "REGION RAT" from Highland, Indiana who still calls that toddlin' town home! I've traveled to Europe a few times. I've worn a variety of "hats" in the music biz over the years -- as a concert promoter, band manager, booking agent, night club director, publicist and music journalist with several national and regional print publications. I'm loving my "afternoon drive" shift on X-Rock 103.9, because the sheer depth of our station's playlist takes me back to my high school daze.

I may be young, but I know way too much about classic rock, a genre I truly adore.  I have been part of Northwest Indiana all my life, living in
Dyer then moving to the country in DeMotte.  You can catch me enjoying my tunes, sometimes rocking too hard during the daily commute.  And if I like you, you will get the notorious rock horns!

Mike Summers
I  enjoy playing the drums, “sitting in” with the local bands on the weekends.
When I'm not on the air, I’m on the lake fishing for large mouth bass.
I live "south of the river" in rural Wheatfield, Indiana.
Steve Zana

The Ragin' Cajun will make his way up from the Voodoo Lounge to rock your weekends.

Remember a popular record store called Hegewisch Records?  Yep, I was a part of that!  My uncle "Hegewisch" Joe owned it back in the day so I have been surrounded by music my whole entire life!  Music is my number one love!  And my favorite genre of music is classic rock-DEEP CUTS!  Speaking of deep cuts, check out Night Rock on Sundays, where you will catch me along with the host Tom Lounges-Mr. Rock and Roll himself!
