Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District officials say this past Saturday all South Shore train service was temporarily suspended when a semi-truck loaded with steel rollers lost its load off the Indiana Toll Road and on to the South Shore causing significant track and overhead wire damage. Commuter rail authorities say the accident did not involve any passenger trains but caused a service suspension until emergency repairs could be made. Service resumed just after 7-o'clock Saturday night.
