A citizen's tip helps capture two Valparaiso men in connection to last week's multiple theft from vehicles in the Flint Lake area off of Burlington Beach Road. Sgt. Larry La Flower, Public Information Officer for the Porter County Sheriff's Police says 20-year-old Derek Brettin and 19-year-old Christopher Klym admitted their roles in the thefts and gave back the stolen property and both face charges of Felony Theft/Possession of Stolen Property. La Flower “thanks” the citizens of Porter County for their help and stresses that tips from the public are an essential part of helping to solve cases like these.
