Alexa Ray Joel Feeling Better After Collapsing on Stage Alexa Ray Joel is feeling much better after her collapse over the weekend during one of her performances at Cafe Carlyle in New York City. “I wanted to thank everyone for coming out to support me,” Joel wrote in a statement to the NY Times. “I was excited and determined to fulfill my final performance and I really wanted to end my run with a bang, but this was not what I had in mind and hope I have the opportunity to make it up to the wonderful audience very soon.” Joel, 28, the daughter of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley, made headlines earlier in the month when she debuted a sexy new look at the Carlyle.
