The Porter County Wildlife Management Advisory Board and the Porter County Animal Shelter present a weekend full of pet rescue and wildlife events at Sunset Hill Farm County Park, corner of Meridian and Route 6, Valparaiso, Indiana.
The Celebration of Wildlife and 9th Annual Frog 'Hunt' (no frogs are harmed in this event, it's a search for fake frogs sponsored by Duneland Exchange Club to benefit child abuse prevention and youth development in Porter County) are on June 2nd, with events from 12noon to 5pm.
On Sunday, June 3rd, also noon-5pm, a Pet Rescue and Animal Adoption Day featuring dog and cat rescue groups and adoptable animals, face painting, police K9 demos, food, games and a lot more -- plus a Pet Blessing at 1 pm with Father Roger Bauer from the Valparaiso Episcopal Church.
