Indiana's newest state lawmaker was sworn in Tuesday. 31-year-old Casey Cox, an attorney from Fort Wayne, was chosen earlier this month to fill the seat of a longtime Republican state representative in northeast Indiana. Cox succeeds Phyllis Pond, who died at the age of 82 last month after serving 35 years in the Indiana House. Pond was the longest-serving female state representative in Indiana history.
