Washington DC Mayor Vincent Gray updated the toll from the deadly Navy Yard shooting to 13 dead. Mayor Gray says there are probably a dozen or more who are wounded. Following today's shooting rampage, the area around the Navy Yard remains an active crime scene this afternoon. Mayor Gray says they don't know that there was a separate gunman on the loose, but do know that there's a person who was identified very early in the process. In fact there were two. One of them has been ruled out. The other person has certainly not been ruled in.
DC Police Chief Cathy Lanier says the gunman exchanged fire with police several times. His name: Aaron Alexis, age 34, a former Navy reservist. The FBI is trying to figure out why he would lead a murderous spree here at the Washington Navy Yard.
