Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller's office today appealed a Lake County Superior Court order that found the state's right-to-work law unconstitutional. The September 5th ruling in Sweeney versus Zoeller involved a legal challenge filed by International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 to House Enrolled Act 1001 of 2012. The Lake County ruling said the law violated part of the state constitution that forbids services “without just compensation”. The law remains in effect while the ruling is under appeal.
