One person was killed in a crash on northbound I-65 just south of Lowell shortly after 6-o'clock this morning. Indiana State Police say a preliminary investigation showed one semi was stopped due to construction up ahead when a second semi struck and ran over a pickup truck that was between the two, then hit the trailer of the first semi. The first semi was carrying about 44-thousand lead ingots and a small number went onto the highway. The second semi was partially loaded with meat, and no load was lost. The driver of the Dodge Ram pick-up has been identified as 52-year-old Jim Uildriks of Monon, Indiana, and he was pronounced dead at the scene of massive blunt force trauma. Both semi drivers were taken to a local hospital for complaint of pain. Northbound I-65 was closed for over four-hours.
