US House Fails to Pass Their Version of 5 yr Farm Bill

The US House of Representatives failed today to pass their version of a five-year farm bill. Indiana US Senator Joe Donnelly says he is disappointed the House couldn't get it passed so they could go to a conference committee and work through the differences to get the bill signed into law. The Senate passed their version of the bill last week, which Donnelly says will reduce the deficit, and give Hoosier farmers and rural communities the certainty they deserve. It has been five years since Congress last passed a farm bill.
