US Senate Approves Five Year Farm Bill

The U.S. Senate on Monday voted 66 to 27 in favor of a five-year farm bill which is estimated to save 18 billion dollars over ten years. Indiana U-S Senators Dan Coats and Joe Donnelly both voted in favor of the bill, with Coats says the legislation will provide Hoosier farmers with the assurances they need to plan and prepare their operations over the next five years.
