The Indiana Senate has unanimously passed a measure meant to show gratitude to Purple Heart veterans in the Hoosier state. The bill allows owners of a Purple Heart license plate to park in a metered space without fee for parking, or penalty for overtime parking. The legislation is co-sponsored in the House by Valparaiso State Representative Ed Soliday.
