A 29 year old Chicago man was charged in an indictment in Hammond Federal Court Thursday with transport of a minor in interstate commerce with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. The U.S. States Attorney's Office reports the charge against Carey Ray is the result of an investigation by the F.B.I. and Lansing Police Department. The Times reports a criminal compliant was filed after the alleged incident took place at a Lansing, Illinois, hotel on October 8^th, after Carey reportedly drove the 14 year old there from her home in Hammond and forced her to have sex with him.
