Two people were injured in an accident on Bass Lake in Starke County. Indiana Conservation Officers say a 33-year-old California man operating personal watercraft collided with a 26-year-old North Judson woman who was also operating personal watercraft, and they were both thrown into the water. The woman was treated and released at a local hospital. The man was later transported to South Bend for fractured vertebrae, broken ribs and fluid on the lungs. Officials say both were wearing floatation devices and the accident remains under investigation.
