An agreement between the City of Portage and Indiana University Northwest will now allow students to take courses at the Portage University Center, located in the 62-hundred block of Central Avenue in Portage. Students will have access to classrooms, computer labs, and study and lounge areas in the over 31-thousand square-foot building.
“The Portage location has had a tremendous impact as far as making an Indiana University degree accessible to more students,” said Executive Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs David Malik. “For many IU Northwest students, who juggle a host of family and work obligations in addition to their academic lives, close proximity can be the difference between being able to attend college or not. We are proud to be able to extend IU Northwest’s mission beyond our immediate confines.”
