Authorities in LaPorte County are seeking assistance from the public to help locate a wanted sex offender. The LaPorte County Sheriff's Office reports 31 year old James Adams is wanted for failing to register and that he has not been seen or heard from since he last registered in mid-February. Adams was convicted in 2000, and again in 2001, in Milwaukee County,Wisconsin, for sexual assault of a child and first registered with the LaPorte County Sheriff's office in 2009. Since October 2013, Adams had been registering every seven days after he notified authorities he was homeless. He had been previously living in the Michigan City area.
James Adams is described as a black male, 5'11”, weighing 150 pounds, with short black hair, brown eyes, a tatto of a panther on his upper right arm and on his lower right forearm he has a tatto with the words “Mama's Boy”.
