It's not known yet whether the body of a woman found in a small lake in the town of Porter is that of a 33-year-old Michigan doctor who disappeared in early December. Indiana State Police say shortly after 7 am Sunday, a local fisherman called Porter Police to report something suspicious floating in the water of Lake Charles at the town park. Indiana State Police and members of their SCUBA team as well as members of Porter Fire and Rescue responded, and a female body dressed in dark clothing was recovered from the water. An autopsy will be conducted this week to positively identify the body. Dr. Teleka Patrick has been missing for just over four months. Her vehicle was found abandoned December 5th in northwest Indiana, on westbound Interstate 94, just east of the Porter/Burns Harbor exit. Agencies assisting Sunday included Porter Police Department, Porter Fire and Search and Rescue, Chesterton Police Department, Department of Natural Resources, and Porter County Coroner.
