The National Transportation Safety Board is holding a briefing this morning on the commuter train derailment that injured more than thirty people in Chicago early Monday. A CTA Blue Line train jumped the tracks around 3 am at O'Hare International Airport, traveling up an escalator before stopping. None of the injuries was thought to be lfe-threatening. Yesterday, Tim DePaepe with the NTSB said the investigating was just getting underway. “Right now, we're at the data-collecting stage,” he said. “We really don't have any answers or analysis to give you at this point.” DePaepe also said the train has not been pulled apart and “is not going to go anywhere for the foreseeable future.”
