Authorities in Jasper County are investigating several residential and business burglaries in the last week. The Jasper County Sheriff's Office reports officers responded to a burglary call this morning of a county store on State Road 49, south of Wheatfield, due to forced entry. Two daylight home burglaries were reported on Friday, near County Road 1000 West and near County Road 1400 North, and both residences were forcibly entered and ransacked. The Sheriff's Office says DeMotte Police are also conducting a burglary investigation which occurred just prior to the Friday burglaries.
