NIPSCO says you may request a call back once power has been restored. If you have electricity in some parts of your home but not others, officials say to check to see if you have a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker.
Early this morning, KVREMC was reporting the loss of transmission to five substations affecting over 7,000 KVREMC members. As of 8:30 a.m., NIPSCO was able to restore transmission to two of their substations, bringing Kouts and Porter Substations back into service. This restored power to members in the Lakes of the Four Seasons, Hebron, Kouts, LaCrosse and portions of Boone Grove. This brought our outage numbers down to approximately 3,600 members. As of about 9:30am CDT, KVREMC had three substations without power. KVREMC and NIPSCO crews continue to work making the necessary repairs brought on by the winter storm.
