The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the Merrillville Police Department and Northwest Indiana Major Crimes Task Force announced today the reward of up to ten-thousand dollars for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for the murder at Piatak Meats last year. 25 year old Andrew Fugate was discovered slain inside the facility, located in the 62-hundred block of Broadway in Merrillville on November 4th, 2013.
Security camera footage from a nearby business captured a light colored SUV, believed to be a large model GM product, on its approach to Piatak meats and as the SUV fled the scene. Authorities report that on Monday, copies of complied footage showing the SUV and two occupants will be released to the media.
