Highland Residents Asked to Not Park on Public Streets

Highland PD
Large volumes of snow in Highland has authorities asking residents to please park in your driveways whenever possible. Highland Police report the snow has caused the narrowing of public streets and so an emergency exists with parking and access by public safety vehicles as well as school buses. To help remedy the issue, officials report the overnight parking ban in Highland parks has been lifted during this emergency to give residents another option in parking their vehicles. Police report that vehicles parked on any public road, and those that have not been moved to allow for snow removal, are subject to being immediately ticketed and towed. Town of Highland employees will be out over the next several days clearing snow and digging out fire hydrants at all hours.
