Two news organization studies recently released their voter ratings for 2013 and in both Indiana US Senator Joe Donnelly was found to be somewhere in the middle. The National Journal's 2013 vote rates Donnelly the 52nd most liberal and the 48th most conservative senator. In CQ/Roll Call's 2013 vote studies, Donnelly is the 3rd most independent Democrat in the US Senate and found Donnelly broke with President Obama's position more than all but four other Democrats. Donnelly says he's the hired help, who came to work for the people of Indiana and the United States and no one else.
