Porter County to Lift State of Emergency at 6am Tuesday

A State of Emergency remains in effect in Porter County until 6am tomorrow. Porter County Sheriff's Department Public Information officer Sgt. Larry LaFlower says the Porter County Board of Commissioners says county government offices will open at 10am. Indiana Government offices are closed until 10am local time tomorrow. The State of Emergency in Lake County is also expected to be lifted tomorrow.
Indiana Governor Mike Pence today has declared a state of disaster emergency for 29 counties affected by the severe weather that began on Sunday. Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Jasper, Newton, Starke and Pulaski Counties in northwest Indiana are among the 29 counties listed.
